Paint correction
What Are Paint Swirls and How Do You Remove Them?
Back to blog
Swirl marks are micro-scratches in paint that appear as circles or spirals under direct light. They reduce gloss and create a hazy effect.
How to identify them?
Park in sun or under LED light. Look at the paint at an angle. If you see circles — you have swirls. The more there are, the harder the correction.
Does wax hide them?
Wax temporarily fills scratches and paint looks better — but defects remain. Only mechanical correction removes them permanently.
